Code of Conduct

Last updated: November 2026

The Founders Funding Summit is run by Medigi Limited. We want every founder, investor, speaker, sponsor, volunteer and member of staff to feel safe, welcome and respected. This Code of Conduct applies at the venue, at side events and after-hours events, in the Founder Investor Networking Zone, and in our online spaces, including the member portal and our social channels. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions (clauses 1.3 and 6.5).

1. Expected behaviour

  • Treat everyone with courtesy and respect, whatever their role, background or stage of business.
  • Respect people's time and boundaries. If someone says no to a conversation, a meeting or a pitch, accept it.
  • Follow the venue rules and reasonable instructions from our staff, stewards and venue security.
  • Drink responsibly. Being seriously intoxicated is not acceptable.
  • Respect confidentiality. Do not share another attendee's pitch, figures or business information without their permission.

2. Harassment and discrimination

We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive comments or behaviour relating to age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy or marital status.
  • Unwanted physical contact, sexual attention or sexual language or imagery.
  • Intimidation, bullying, stalking, following or deliberate disruption of talks.
  • Unwanted persistent contact, during or after the event, including through the delegate directory.
  • Using investor or funding opportunities to pressure anyone into any personal or inappropriate arrangement.

3. Filming and photography

  • Our official photographers and film crew will capture the event. If you would prefer not to be photographed, pick up a no-photography lanyard at registration or tell a member of staff.
  • Do not photograph or record anyone who has asked you not to, and do not record sessions where the speaker or host has asked for no recording.
  • Do not photograph or record anyone under 18 without the consent of their parent or guardian.
  • Do not photograph other people's slides, documents or screens containing confidential information without permission.

4. Safety

  • Attendees must be 18 or over on the day of the Event.
  • No weapons, illegal substances or anything that could put others at risk.
  • Follow fire, evacuation and safety instructions from staff and the venue straight away.
  • If you feel unwell or see someone in difficulty, tell a member of staff immediately.

5. Reporting a concern

If you experience or see behaviour that breaks this Code, or you feel unsafe, please tell us. You can:

  • Speak to any member of staff or steward at the event, who can be found at registration.
  • Email helpdesk@foundersfundingsummit.com, during or after the event.
  • In an emergency, call 999 and then let our staff know.

We will treat every report seriously and as confidentially as we can. We will not tolerate anyone being treated badly for making a report in good faith.

6. What happens if this Code is broken

Depending on what happened, we may give a warning, ask someone to leave, refuse entry, remove access to the member portal or the delegate directory, or ban someone from future events. Where appropriate we will involve the venue or the police. Under clause 6.5 of our Terms, no refund is due if someone is removed for breaching this Code.
